Spider-Man is a fictional Marvel Comics superhero. Spiderman was created by a writer-editor called Stan Lee and a writer-artist called Steve Ditko. Spiderman first appeared in a comic called Amazing Fantasyin August 1962. Lee and Ditko made the character an orphan who was being raised by his Aunt May and Uncle Ben, and as a teenager, had to deal with the normal struggles of adolescence in addition to those of a costumed crime fighter.
